Fall Exam and Break Hours

The Library has modified hours for fall finals and break.

Fall Exam Hours

Sunday, November 23: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Monday, November 24: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Tuesday, November 25: 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Wednesday, November 26: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Note: The library is card swipe only after 6pm on weekdays and all hours on weekends.

Thursday, November 27 – Sunday, November 30: CLOSED

Winter Break Hours: Monday, December 1 – Tuesday, December 23

Monday – Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Fridays: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Closed Saturdays and Sundays

The library will be closed December 24th – January 4th

Winter Term hours start Monday, January 5th

Fall Term 2025 Hours

September 14 – November 25

Monday – Thursday: 8am – 10pm (swipe entry only 6pm-10pm) 
Friday: 8am – 5pm 
Saturday: Noon – 5pm (swipe entry only) 
Sunday: Noon – 10pm (swipe entry only) 

Please note: the card swipe for the Upjohn Library Commons is located on the accessible pole at the edge of the circular brick. 

College Archives and Rare Book Room

Hours for the College Archives and Rare Book Room are on their websites. You can also make an appointment to use materials in person in the Archives or Rare Book Room, or we can answer your questions via email or Teams. Contact us at archives@kzoo.edu or rarebookroom@kzoo.edu. 

Other Services

Other services in the building (Writing Center, Center for New Media Design, Media Services, Help Desk, etc.) have other hours. Please check their websites for details.
 

ULC Building Closed Friday, August 1

The Upjohn Library Commons building will be closed on August 1 due to a planned campus electrical outage.

What This Means for You

During this brief closure, all library facilities will be unavailable, including:

  • Study spaces
  • Computer labs
  • Book checkout and returns
  • Digital resource access from within the building
Alternative Resources

We understand this may disrupt your research plans. However, you can use these alternatives:

  • Online digital resources will remain accessible remotely
  • Campus computer labs in Hicks will be open
  • Many library staff members will be available via email and Teams chat support from 9am to 2pm
Advance Planning

We recommend:

  • Planning alternative study locations
  • Checking out materials before August 1
  • Utilizing our online databases and e-resources
