The library staff have made major accomplishments this summer, including a new back-end library system, improved OneSearch, new Interlibrary Loan system, and a new website! Library staff are working on getting MeLCat up and running. (In the meantime, please use our *new* Interlibrary Loan system to request books and articles not owned by the K Library. You may use MeLCat through your own public library, including the Kalamazoo Public Library, with a library card.) We are excited that these improvements will better serve your research needs. If you have questions, please contact library@kzoo.edu.
We are excited to have converted to new library search and interlibrary loan systems this summer. We are still cleaning up data and ironing out some issues. If you would like to report an issue, please email library@kzoo.edu. Thanks!
Today we said a great big THANK YOU to our senior student workers. Good luck out there…we look forward to hearing about your adventures!

To mark this year’s Constitution Day (Sunday, September 17th), the Library has compiled a guide of resources, including primary source documents, to provide the College community with information about one of America’s most important documents.
Established by Congress in 2004, Constitution Day recognizes the ratification of the U.S. constitution on September 17, 1787. The law, introduced by Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, requires all educational institutions receiving federal funds provide information and instruction about the Constitution on September 17th each year.
See the Library’s Constitution Day guide. A collection of books and quotes on free speech and the Constitution is on display in the Library reference area.
